When my daughter was younger, she loved showing our half-arabian mare in native Arabian costume classes. In a moment of madness I offered to make their costumes, and this was the result. I developed this painting from a picture of her and from imagining a desert setting.
This Polish Arabian mare, "Willow's Bask," was the first horse to join our family. Today she takes me trail riding and has recently given us two half-percheron warmblood colts.
