| A most elegant black Friesian stallion caught my eye at a horse show, and I created this enhanced (reasonably-priced) Photo-Artwork from my snapshot. This candid portrait is an example of eliminating unwanted distracting elements (car on right) and improving the impact through the magic of digital retouching. I subdued (lightened and softened) the entire background of the photo by blurring it, to make the subjects stand out better in contrast, and I enhanced the coloring and highlights on the stallion and show cart. Any combination of techniques or degree of realism is possible in our art interpretations, from "straight" photographic to the most painterly rendition, or something in between.
